August Abundance at PT Schools

Farmer Neil Howe, Farmette Bonnie Obremski, and FBG Volunteers make it happen

August 20, 2024

School is almost ready to start and the new freezer and refrigerators are filling up with garden fresh food. New this year - MUSHROOMS.  After last week's down pour, the wine cap mushrooms popped up for easy picking. (See below)

Thank you volunteers for giving your minutes, hours, or months of effort. It all helps to distribute the work load and keep the food "banked" for the school.

Thank you Farmer Neil Howe, and Bonnie Obremski for your dedication to keeping on top of the plantings, mid-month feedings, seedings, and harvesting. Without your consistent leadership this garden wouldn't be this productive. For example: those buckets of  Fortex beans (top left) is ONE picking. Tomorrow there will be as many to pick again. It's a very prolific variety. The volunteers pictured above are standing in front of them.
