Visibility is Everything

Don't drive by, stop and check out the garden.

Swan Farms  has a beautiful new sign thanks to the talented Mary Henson, a food bank garden volunteer and Pea Patch gardener. Before the freshly painted sign was installed, it was easy to drive by the intersection of Highways 116 and 19 in Port Hadlock without realizing there is an extensive food bank garden and pea patch behind the Olympic Trading Post parking lot.

Mary used scrap lumber to create the new sign, which features contact information for gardeners interested in obtaining a garden plot or volunteering at the food bank garden, and a list of Swan's supporters.

Mary poses with her new sign and a recent June harvest.
