VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
The Volunteer Coordinator is an essential position in Food Bank Growers. They interact with all volunteers in the FBG organization. They will become familiar with the mission and goals of the organization and the basics of garden management. They will become knowledgeable about each garden’s operations, and the gardening philosophies within. Current committee chairs and garden managers will inform the Volunteer Coordinator about what type of volunteer is needed for each garden or committee. For new volunteer inquiries, they will suggest a garden or committee best suited to that volunteer’s needs and skills. Training will be offered for each aspect of the position, which is voluntary.

Tasks: (which may be split between two people)
- Managing the FBG inbox
- Responding to inquiries for volunteers, information, available resources
- Forwarding emails to the appropriate person when needed
-Gathering information for the newsletter
- Send once a month
- Seek out / keep track of opportunities that should be in there
- Post on the website
- Social Media Posts
- Instagram, Facebook as needed
- Website
- Help maintain the website through adding new material and keeping info up-to-date
- Green Maps
- Keep Green Map info up-to-date
- Edit as needed when gardens change, upgrade photos as needed
