August 1, 2024

Dear BG Team -

Can you believe it’s already August?!?!

Tomorrow is forecasted to be sunny with temps in the 60s-70s. We’ll have a rolling start to the work party between 9 and 10 am.

This Week’s Harvests …

Monday 7/29 evening harvest for the Brinnon Food Bank was supported byDiane, Nancy, Mark, Lys and Amber. They harvested pole beans, beets, chard, kale, onions, snow and snap peas, summer squashes, squash blossoms, radicchio and stir fry mix for atotal of 57.75 pounds. Also, we received some gleaned food from Red Dog farms that we sent as a pass-through our garden; this consisted of carrots, chard, lettuce, salad mix and stir fry mix for a total of18.75 pounds. This brought our delivery total for Brinnon to76.5 pounds.

Thanks to July 25th Work Party Volunteers!
