September 4, 2024

Dear BG Team -

Tomorrow is forecasted to be sunny with temps in the 60s-70s. We’ll have a rolling start to the work party between 9 and 10 am.

This Week’s Harvests … 146.75 pounds!

Monday 9/2 evening harvest for the Brinnon Food Bank was supported by Mike, Diane, Lindsay, Lys, Jordan, Karl and Amber. They harvested 87.25 pounds of produce.

Saturday 8/31 harvest for the Port Townsend Food Bank was supported by Denny. They harvested cucumbers, zucchini and lettuce for a total of 7.75 pounds.

Wednesday 9/4 morning harvest for the Port Townsend Food Bank was supported by Diane, Lys and Amber. They harvested 51.75 pounds.

And, thanks to Karl, we have a new addition to our wash/pack station… a produce washing table!

Thanks to August 29th Work Party Volunteers!

Karl weeded and prepped the area where our toilet structure will be. Kathy S worked on grape vine control. Denny cleaned garlic, raked grape leaves and trellised peas. Teresa trellised cucumbers. Lys completed a variety of garden tasks.
