FBG Seed Library keeps "late" hours

Delivered directly to greenhouse...

Turns out that the postal system has some serious competition for delivering during the cold and dark of night. Our entire seed library showed up during the first 2022 FBG outdoor garden manager meeting in the Grange garden greenhouse.

It became dark faster than we anticipated, but luckily we all have phones with flashlights to light up the selection process. Can you ever have enough seeds? How can you not feel the promise and hope of a new season after reading a packet description like this?

Sweet Meat / hubbard type squash

115 days. A Northwestern heirloom still virtually unknown in the rest of the U.S. Round, 10-15 pound slate gray squash has superb keeping quality and a rich, sweet flavor. Vigorous vines grow to 10 feet.
