A big Thank you to all Growers and Gleaners who make this work of growing, gathering, and giving possible.
On a perfect fall day FBG Growers and Gleaners gathered for the "table" part of farm to table at the RainCoast event center. (Thank you Margaret and Mike for the lovely space.). We had about 30 people in attendance which represented every garden and the our newly joined gleaner group.
We started out with RainCoast tastings of Blackberry Shrub and their newly bottledSiegerrebe wine (zee-ger-RAY-bah)and other beverages to carry around while touring the vineyards, flowers, and orchards. We then regrouped to try out the home chef favorites we all like to make. Lastly everyone went home with a sample of Green Tomato Chutney from the overabundance of tomatoes at Red Hen's greenhouse that didn't ripen.
